I hope to drive mid-May from Palenque to Bonampak and Yaxchilan and on to Lagunas de Montebello & Comitan. I get conflicting advice about the safety - we are 2 older females, but used to driving in Mexico. Any current info or advice from someone who's been there in the past year or so??
