Hi,
Just wondering if anyone has ever used the Travelex cash passport whilst travelling? on my last trip I took travellers cheques and there were just so many of them. i'm trying to cut down on stuff to take to central and south america and someone recommended this. haven't heard that much about it though. any recommendations? |

I am unsure what you are referring to as an alternative. If it is a debit card, by all means use it instead of archaic travelers checks. Mine is with PNC Bank, which forgives the overseas service charges as long as I have over $2000 in the account for the entire month.
I no longer even bother with traveler checks, even as a back up. |

Hi,
Thanks for the tip. Are you in the states? I'll be travelling from the UK and there's this card that acts as a debit card but gives you a fixed rate. The only negative is that they charge you £1.50 everytime you take money out. It's exactly like travellers cheques but in card form. Do you have something similar? I'm only worried because after a year of travelling those £1.50's are going to add up. |

That was a spammer. His spam offer with its crappy spelling is all over the place here. It looks like he got bored after 33 posts.
What you describe sounds like a debit card, but those have either Visa or Master Card designations. Try: this link |
