Hello..I'm a 28 year old traveller who has been exploring Central America for the past 15 months. My journey has taken me though the highlands and the lowlands, to the mountains and the lakes, to the cities and the countryside. Last month I wandered upon the most spectacular hostel set within the most spectacular of locations. I spent three weeks at the Mondo Taitu hostel located on Isla Colon in the Bocas del Toro achipelago in Panama. You must understand..this place is neither hotel nor hostel (they call themselves a hostel) , but a resting point for wanderers, surfers, travelers, and explorers. The three men who run the place are wonderful listeners as well as fascinating storytellers. The place costs 7 dollars a night and has a communal kitchen, guitars to play, surfboards to rent, a bar playing chill music, and many, many hammocks. The islands themselves are also stunning. Hitch a ride with any of the local boatguides and travel past the mangrove islands to the white sand beaches. You'll have absolutely no regrets if you spend some time at this place.

Cindy
