Looking for a great place to study spanish....well, I have found it. Quito, Ecuador. The city is beautiful, the weathers is great, and the Spanish is a bit cleaner than in other South American countries. For three weeks now I have been studying spanish with the Spanish School Pichincha in Downtown Quito. The teachers have been enthusiastic and well qualified, even the director of the school takes an active interest in each of his students, and the host family arrangement is a breathe of fresh air after living out of hostels for the past several months. The school has also helped me find work volunteering at a local organization helping empoverished children. But the school also offers the opportunity to work at the school and save some cash on tuition and family stay.

I know how some schools can be a hit or miss, but this school is an excellent and in-expensive way to learn Spanish and experience Ecuador.
