Does anyone have first hand experience with this tour operation in the Arica-Putre area in northern Chile? They are well regarded in the current Chile Rough Guide, but I've been informed that their hostel in Putre has since closed.

that's kinda weird.. if its highly regarded, then why is it closed now? anyway, I don't know much about Chile accommodations but you can ask me anything about the accommodations in Marrakech , Morocco.
