If anyone is planning on climbing Volcan Villarica from Pucon (Chile) I would strongly recommend NOT using a company called Trancura. We have just returned from a trip which did not make it to the crater (unlike all the other tours today) because much of the equipment (crampons in particular) fell apart part way up. Also, there is practically no safety instruction and the (non-english speaking) guides do not keep sufficient watch on the group, which became very fragmented at times. When we challenged the staff we received the "the boss is out, don't know where he is" routine. I'd suggest choosing one of the many alternatives...
