wanted to share a fantastic little find in Arequipa, Peru that i came across by accident after stumbling off a (perfectly horrendous) night bus from Pisco. just opened ten days ago (!) so it´s not in the guidebooks. a friendly, welcoming spot run by three locals - Eduardo, Raul, and Carla - who are charming and helpful as can be. i´ve been lounging on the terrace in a hammock or in the courtyard for nearly four days watching travelers come and go. check it out if you pass by Arequipa way. it´s called Bothy Hostal and it´s at 109 Punte Grau near a cluster of other budget places.
