I am a travel writer who represents an organisation that specializes in products and services for travellers, with the aim of raising funds and awareness for humanitarian and ecological projects in developing nations.

More specifically we will produce a suite of online, customizable, printable travel guides targeting the demographic of 18-40 year olds travelling for leisure.

The guides are free, but our website will also offer higher margin travel services such as tours and bookings. We intend to forward all profit to humanitarian and ecology projects, those projects chosen by a system of voting on our website.

It is not expected during the start-up phase, defined as the first two years of operation, that there will be a net profit. We are financing this phase with private funds and donations. The co-founders and writers take no salary during this time but all the necessary costs for travel are provided for. For example, there are enough intial funds to pay for my flights and all travel, but with nothing left over for my personal savings. The same sitution applies to each of the additional writers we are looking for.

Our plan is to send travel writers to different parts of the world beginning in August.
