My brother and I had the opportunity to be in Peru for 25 days from December 30, 2001 to January 23, 2002. A lady that I work with recommended Puno and Lake Titicaca. A guide named Ruben Vera Malma made our stay memorable. He is a native of Puno and knows the history and details of his heritage very well. His grasp of the English language was excellent as he spent a year in the United States on a national English scholarship.

He guided us through the Sillustani Necropolis and Ruins, Uros and Taquile Floating Islands, the city of Puno, and many sites on the road to Cusco.

A visit to Puno with Ruben as you guide is a must! To contact him:
