Hello there,
we'll be in ecuador at the end of march and would like to climb cotopaxi and/or chimborazo if weather conditions permit. We have all the gear back home but don't necessarily want to bring it as we'll be doing other things as well. Since there's only two of us we'd like to hire a guide to make things safe - does anyone know about prices for quick up and downs and if having all your own gear along would make it cheaper? Any recommendations for independent yet capable 'budget' mountain guides in Quito / Banos or elsewhere would be greatly appreciated? Does anyone know of non-polluted and fun class III-IV runs (continuous rapids please, not one every other kilometre.) and possibilities of up to date kayaks and gear for rent or good rafting companies we could join? (i don't want a kayak clinic, i've been kayakign for years) i'd greatly appreciate any bit of information i can get. Cheers, Dennis |
