Hi there,

Just wandered if anyone could offer any advice on how safe generally it is to leave backpacks in hotel/hostel stroage or locked up in/to something in your room for the day? (basically how to store backpacks safely during the day) I'm a novice to backpacking and just wandered about the safety issues in Thailand in particular.

i travelled all over south east asia and stored my bag in my rooms, lockers and hotels i even left it in a guest house in BKK while i went island hopping, you should be fine, but make sure you have a paddlock for your bag!pref a number one cos small keys get lost easy!
