I am off on a round the world trip soon, and I was wondering about the availability and price of contact lenses in the countries I am visiting as I have heard that from some places you can just take your prescription along. My route is Singapore, Bangkok, HK, China, Japan, Aus, NZ, Fiji, North America and Canada. Any advice would be appreciated.

The availability and price of contact lenses varies from place to place. I suggest you take your prescription with you, and also a spare pair of glasses (if you wear glasses as an alternative to contact lenses, as I do). I'm sure your optician would advise you further.
theres some great websites selling on line. my mate gets them shipped to a post office wheres shes staying cheaper too worth a shot any how you could mail them to see if they post to the countries youre in or see if that country has one of their own
