I know it'll be pricey, but I wouldn't trust my health to a response I receive here. That said, there are some more natural ways of preventing things like travellers diarrhea such as taking acidophilous. A good book is "Herbs to homeopathy : selecting the best complementary and alternative therapies" by Michael Smith. BUt I'd seriously fork out the money to talk to a professional - I don't think you'd want to mess with HepA or some of those other nasties without professional advice. My guess is the homeopathic practitioner would tell you get the shots - they may not be homeopathic, or particularly natural but they work and they aren't as harmful to your health as unprotected exposure to HepA

Thanks meow. I am seeing a practitioner anyway but wondered if anyone had any positive experiences of it. My practitoner has recommended a first aid box that can be taken travelling. I know one remedy works really well for a certain, how can i say, "digestive" problem that is common when you are travelling. Tropical diseases are a bit more serious though. Anyone?

Cuba is pretty good for health issues. I'm not sure there's anything you really need. I didn't bother looking into it, but I'm current for hep and typhoid anyway. You can drink the tap water in most parts of Cuba.
