My problem started when I was checking in that I had a accident with a bottle of beer which ended being broken causing the contents to leak from my bag which I was taking home as a present for my family back home being accidentally smashed which caused me to feel embarrassed. After completing my check I went to the side to fill in my check in card and also remove anything of value from the bag which had contained the smashed beer. I was then summoned back to the desk where I was informed by Mr Eskander that I was drunk and I would not be travelling on my booked flight.. This was far from the case as I was sober, something that would be been proved if my offer to be tested for alcohol had been taken up but my offer of a breath test was ignored.
After trying to reason with the staff that I was not drunk which went nowhere as Mr Hani Eskander was refusing to believe anything else, as I found their accusations to be deeply insulting to someone who was sober, eventually another employee (a little lady in her 50's) seemed to take a different approach where I was taken into the back office and although I still found this insulting given a strong coffee to 'sober' me up although I was sober, but as I found earlier trying to reason/argue my point was not going to get me anywhere also my request to speak to the Captain of the flight who is probably in a better position to judge if someone is sober or not was ignored. But please pass on my thanks to this 'Little' Lady. I was in this instance after being 'Sobered' up allowed into my booked flights. The Moral of the Story is Don't Take Any Bottles of beer home for your loved ones!!!!! |
