Does any one have an idea/schedule how to do bus travel from Eliat to Petra to Jerusalem in a day or bus times? Thanks

hi nova
I'm afraid you can't do this trip in one day - the distances are just too far, along with the border crossings as well. Reckon on crossing Eilat-Aqaba early in the morning; then it's easy to reach Petra by, say, noon (or earlier if you're prepared to pay for a taxi direct from the border to Petra - around 25 or 30 JD).

But then if you want to get direct to Jerusalem, I would say the best way (even though it sounds crazy) is to go back to Aqaba, cross to Eilat, and get a bus from Eilat to Jerusalem. This southern border is much easier, and quicker, than the King Hussein/Allenby Bridge across the River Jordan - there, the bureaucracy can take up hours and hours of time, and there are no quick, easy methods of transport to and from the bridge.

For more info, take a look at jordanjubilee.com - this is a great travel resource.

Hope it works out!

Hi
Have you considered taking a tour. There are operators giving one or two day tours from Eilat to Petra. Desert Eco Tours Has a day excursion to Petra which returns to Eilat in the evening from where you can take a bus to Jerusalem.

Isram goes to Jordan too.

Hi,
Yes you can make in one day,but you have to start as early as you can that is by crossing the border in Aqaba, then take a cap to petra for visiting then back to the same border cross to Eliat then take the bus up to Telaviv then to Jerusalem.I did that with many people.About the ticket to petra you buy it at the entrance to petra and there is no else where selling it.It is 21 JD for one day visit.
Enjoy

Regards from Jordan
