I just come back from Jordan, where I spent 10 days with my boyfriend.
It was an amazing travel, little bit cold at this time of the year but we really enjoyed.
The hospitality of the people is amazing.

Don't miss to visit Madaba, we stayed in the Mariam hotel which is very good and not expensive.
In Petra we were in the Alanbat hotel, which quite good with a good turkish bath, very clean.

In wadi rum we spent 4 days in the desert with some bedouins, sleeping in the desert and scrambling on the mountains. This desert is fantastic, don't miss it...
We were with Jordantracks(www.jordantracks.com), a travel agency based in wadi rum, they are very nice, and helped us a lot for our following days in Jordan.
I advise them to help you in your travel and if you stay in wadi rum.
Try also the dead sea, strange sensation...

I´m planning to visit Jordan next month but i feel suspicious about the present situation of the country, and after reading your e-mail i have some questions about the present situation you experience there concerning safety:
- You felt threaten somehow during your travel, by people in the streets, markets or in Petra or Wadi Rum?
- How where the security checkpoints in Amman Airport or in bus stations during your travel?
- Are there many refugees from Iraq?
- How did you get around there?
- do you think 2 weeks are to much?
