I'm heading to Bodrum for a week of sailing on a gulet with my 3 friends from the US. We want to find the interesting port cities of Turkey, where there is history, culture.. and night life. Any recommendations?

There's a quaint little fishing village just 1/2 hour by minibus from Bodrum called Gumusluk. Try to get there for a visit, it's very charming and worth the effort. I ended up staying for a week I liked it so much.

If you are seeking for nighlife definitely stay in Bodrum.

You can visit Turgutreis, it is nice and has a very good marina.

Hello Rick and all,

I been many places in Turkey and i can recomed you for night life and historical places Bodrum,Marmaris,Gocek. There is also another oldest port in Aegean side port of Kusadasi, mainly british and irish ppl prefer to stay there but which is close to Ephesus.Ephesus is great place if you have no idea about it just have look on google etc..

If you only think about night life those places where to go is the best places for summer time..
If you have any other questions i can try to reply you.
