hello, i just wanted to post this, as i have been to petra four times and one visit was three months in petra and wadi mousa. i love petra and wadi mousa and would go there again and again, but i just want to let the ladies know about the way it is. it's a friendly and welcoming place, and i'm sure this has been said lots of times, but please watch out for the men. the ones who tell you that you are the love of their life, you are the first one ever and that you are the most beautiful woman they have ever seen. i got taken in, i got hurt badly and i want to mention names, but i feel on a public forum i should not do that. if i said that all of them were like this i would be lying, because generally they could not do enough to help you and make you feel welcome, but there are the others and i know them very well who are out for everything they can get at your expense. i know from speaking to my friends there, that no tourists is a real problem financially for the region, so i don't wish in any way to discourage or mislead; but i know how they work, so please girls take care not to get duped like me.
