Staying in Dubai on return from SE Asia mid December. Need somewhere to stay - everything seems our of our league pricewise. Anyone got any ideas, need it clean, secure and not too far from centre. HELP PLEASE!!

Although this info might not help you much anymore... Maybe someone else's needs a cheap place to stay in Dubai.

Check out the Youth Hostel in Al Qusais( part of Dubai). The place is clean, safe and the nearest supermerket is within walking distance! The nearest beach (Al Mamzar) is about 10 min drive by taxi (taxis are cheap in Dubai!) and these will also take you to the 'centre' of the city within 15 min. So, all in all = very good.

By the way: The hotel operates a gender seperation. So, unless you are married, you might have to 'fight' ;) for a double room!

it's kinda hard to find a cheap hotel that meets all your requirements.. How many are you actually? maybe if you will book in group then you can ask for a discount.
