Has any one had a rude experience with the german owner at the Everest Hotel.. NOt to be confused with the new everest which has friendly young egptians working there..

This problem with this owner was not...language..one of us speaks german. The woman kicked us off the roof area..We could no longer eat our breakfast there..Seems she likes her privacy...The place is not how it is described in the travel guide.. IT is not clean and well maintained..Some of the locks do not work. The roof area is filled with broken furnature with dust all over it..It is a nice area..but this lady left a sign on the table that the table was private..in german..The egyptians were willing to let us eat there..but I was too upset.. I had to eat in our room and we check out into another guest house immediately..Too bad this foreighors act so poorly..She never confronted us directly, she just left this note and stayed in her room...Of all good and bad experience in egypt including a stolen camera in front of the hote. we checked into to get out of this everest, this experience was the worst in that it was unfriendly and hostile..Egypt is such a friendly country.. It was only my second trip to egypt..the last time was 1981 and I really enjoyed it then...and now..take care..
