Okay, I know this isn't really a DC forum, but ThornTree is out for another week and I need the feedback sooner.
Based on what I've been reading from RG and LPTT, I've decided to take my digital camera on my jaunt through Aus/NZ. I got a Toshiba PDR-3300, 3.2 megapixels, as a gift from someone (I don't know if this is a good camera, it doesn't show as a Top 10 most popular). Obviously, the 8MB Toshiba card is not sufficient (it's Secure Digital). So I recently bought two 256MB SD cards made by SanDisk (from Amazon.com actually). Okay, testing the cards, I found that after taking pictures, the camera can't read images off the cards (sometimes I get "NO IMAGES" and sometimes I get a single image with 1/8 of photo and the rest pixelated garbage). I've tried formatting the cards using the camera, have made sure the cards are not write protected, no dice. I've reached out to Toshiba but can't get a human being on the phone. Has anyone else encountered this kind of problem? Any ideas how to solve it? Do I just have a piece of crap camera? Could both the SanDisk cards be faulty? (The original 8MB Toshiba SD card continues to work fine). I am a total newcomer to digital cameras but I'm not usually a moron with electronics. Any help is appreciated. |

256MB SD cards are relatively new and many digital cameras do not support them. Check your camera manual to see the largest memory card it supports (probably 128MB).
