Hello, i am on my RTW at the mo and have just added Canada to my list. But i bought a RTW ticket in england, which ends in Late Oct'03. I am now feelin that as i would like to visit much of canada after my visit in Oz for 6 months, so can anyone tell me if it will be possible to sell my ticket from L.A. to London Heathrow. If they are any websites that particularly help in the selling of unwanted tickets. I imagine it is possible but am not quite sure how.

Any help greatly appreciated.

If you haven't done so already, contact the airline or travel agent that sold you the ticket, or a good travel agent in the country where you currently are. Unfortunately, I suspect it will be a case of "use it or lose it", but these people might be able to advise you of some other options.

As for selling the ticket unofficially, I know of no websites (although I suppose you could try www.ebay.com ), but you could advertise the ticket for sale on hostel notice-boards, etc. The problem is that your ticket will have your name on it, so is useless to anybody else in this post-September 11 era where airport officials are very careful about comparing tickets with passports.

If I were you I'd complete the journey back to London within the year validity of the ticket, and tour Canada as a separate trip at a later date.

STA Travel have a method of cashing in an unused part of your RTW ticket. Otherwise...... it is pretty unlikely you will get anything back

it is a STA ticket, though im not sure if i can be refunded the journey back home. (ill contact STA travel as soon as i get to Oz) although im not completely sure how long i wanaa spend in Oz, NZ and then Canada, mayb just head there for a month (canada), then ill know just a little about the country and if i want to go back for more...
