I am going travelling via the states, fiji and then New Zealand and Australia. I will be doing a few 4 day walks in NZ, and some small hikes in the other places. I was thinking of getting the Karrimor 50-70 Global travel pack type thingy. I already have a 65 litre rucksack, but am quite attracted to the usefulness of the pack. Does anyone have any experience on using this pack for some hiking, or is it just a good airport to hotel type bag.

Rusty.

I too own a trusty 65 litre pack and found it useful when doing walks. I used it doing the inca trail where it did come in handy with carrying food etc. also sleeping bag and all the stuff. I have used it since doing trips round Scotland where I stay and would now never go with anything other that the 65.
