Hi

Can anyone provide a decent list of recomended items to pack for a one year backpacking trek...? Also would be great if you know of any pointers to sites which may list this kind of info.

My girlfriend and I will be going to Africa to to an overland safari for 3 months, then to work in Australia for 4 months, then to tour around South East Asia for 4 months off our own backs.

Any ideas?

I am going travelling in just under 2 years with 2 friends. We haven't gone travelling before, so anyone who has any pointers, tips e.g. would be helpful. We are hoping to go to places like italy, australia, canada, usa, japan.

Any ideas on how to start planning all this e.g.?
