Hi,

I'm very keen in travelling the world in the next year or two - saving at the moment - and i have been doing a lot of research etc. What I want to know is what is the best way round? Starting in USA or staring in OZ?? I have always said I'd like to start in the USA but everyone seems to start in OZ!

Hi Laura,

Although I went west via the USA (and met plenty of others doing the same) I don't think there is a "best" way round. One thing that might influence your decision is the seasons in the various countries at the time you're likely to visit them. For example, you might want to hit the USA in summer but arrive in Oz in their winter. It's your call...

It is your call but remember australia has no winter in the northern part of the country
i've backpacked it around my country [australia]2 times and depending on where you are from you might get a little cold down south keep that in mind australia is good all year round.
