Hey Chris,
Do yourself a favor and do NOT go the 'cheap backpack' route. Buy the best pack you can that fulfills all your needs. Going cheepo risks having irrepairable structural fallout on the road at worst, and having it be just plain damn uncomfortable to lug around at best. Try out a few packs [with weight in them- you wont be carrying it empty so don't test it that way.] walk around the store with them a while see how they feel. Down the road you will be happy you invested a bit more in some decent equipment. OK the rant about quality is over: I don't know where you are so it's a bit impossible to suggest anyplace though a quick google will find millions of places with backpacks on offer. If you have a place locally that sells a few types, try them out- then surf for a better deal on the one you prefer online. If you have nowhere specific to be, you cannot be lost |

Hello there . as the other person said don't go and get a cheap and nasty pack, go to as many stores as you can and try them on then either surf the net for your chosen one , try e-bay as ive had a few bits of gear off there and have'nt been disapointed.

I would personally recommend the Berghaus Cyclops III.
I've also written a more detailed piece on backpacks on my website that should give you some pointers. Richard ============================== Richard Fletcher The Travel Monkey - FREE advice on tickets, accommodation, scams and more! www.thetravelmonkey.net |
