The TGV or Thalyss as it's called departs from Paris Nord station. So you'll first have to go there by taking the subway. Train tickets can be bought on the spot, but will be cheaper when bought longer before the trip. I think you can make reservations at http://www.sncf.com. It's the site of the french railways and also accesable in english.
