My husband and I toured Romania in July this year, and had a holiday we thorougly enjoyed thanks to the beauty of the countryside, the rare traditional way of life we witnessed, and the warmth of the Romanians. We spent part of our stay in Bran. We found accommodation in a 3 star charming, clean and tastefully furnished guesthouse - Vila Ana, just across the road from the entrance to Dracula's Castle. The guesthouse is run by a helpful and hospitable couple who went out of their way to make our stay unforgettable. Mrs Marcela Ungarth and her well read English speaking husband encouraged us to make use of the terrace, the dining room with kitchenette, the barbeque area and the spacious car park in their garden. We paid 900,000 Lei per night for a comfortable spotless double room with bath. We were offered a lavish Romanian breakfast for an additional 150,000 lei each. The guesthouse offers 6 doubles and a triples, all with private bathroom. I highly recommend this guesthouse to your readers. My husband and I will defininitely return to Romania and to Bran someday.....
