hi, i'm hoping to spend a few days in this country end of march/beginning of april
basically, i've realised the cheapest option to get there is to fly to budapest, hungary and then coach/train to bucharest buuuutttt i then need to get to warsaw, poland from bucharest - i know there is a train service available but the train websites i've found on here don't seem to like the idea, and neither do the coach journeys. I feel a bit uneasy going there without any thing booked in advance as i only know basic german/french and i don't know if they'd help? i'd like to be in poland by monday 3rd april middayish but am a bit flexible if any on ecan help i would be sincerely grateful!!! thanks! x |

The cheapest way to do this, if you don't mind a night in Bratislava along the way would be to fly with Sky Europe (http://www.skyeurope.com).
Their schedules mean that you'd need to fly from Bucharest to Bratislava on the Sunday afternoon, then continue the next morning to Warsaw. The combined fare for the two flights, including all taxes, if you book soonish, will be only about €80. Bratislava is a pleasant city to wander around, so that enforced night in the Slovak capital may be no bad thing. Hope this helps. Nicky Gardner / hidden europe magazine |
