we are looking for a coastal town between Girona and the french border to spend a week in july with teenagers. they want night life; we want a pretty place that's not TOO busy. looked at cadaques and roses so far but no real idea if roses in particular is v v busy and cadaques is expensive apparently. anyone got any ideas?

Try the border town of Port Bou, easily accessible from the station, not too busy-not many stop off there-and nice beaches 4 the kids.Good selection of hotels and a bit of nite life. not fantastically pretty, but nice enough.
