Hello,
I live in Tampa, and the first thing I would like is to know you exist. There are hostels in Florida, but they are extremely difficult to find without a thorough search. Also, I love when a hostel can double as a touring agency. Be able to set things up for the Glades, Cocoa, Daytona, Canaveral, etc. You'll make a bundle and keep things simple for the tourists. If you stick to the coast arrange for deep sea fishing or maintain a boat for dive charters. Have all of these things, and I as a native would be happy to stay with you!

There are a few out there, but the only one I trust and regularly use is hostelworld.com. I have booked hostels months and days in advance all over the world and they have always come through. Very reputable. Are you on the East coast? If so, think about renting surf boards. My hostel in Peru did that and it was a blast!
