Question:
I am going to Paris for three weeks at the end of June with my boyfriend and would love to hear of any tips and ideas of places to eat, must sees, things to do etcetera - any advice would be most welcome. Also is it easy to get around on public transport and although I speak basic French, will there be a language barrier? It has been a few years since I completed my GCSE in French! Any advice on anything and everything would be most welcome!

Go and visit the catacombs. But don't steal the bones.

Getting around is easy. The metro is excellent, reliable and cheap.

Try and speak as much French as you can, but you won't have many problems if you stick to English.

Wait until after dark for your 1st sight of the tower. Get off the Metro at Trocadero and prepare to be delighted.

If you like Chinese-type Food, Cuisine D'Asie between Les Halles and Le Chatelet (on Bvd Sevastopol, perhaps, or Strasbourg) is both unglamorous and cheap. An excellent place for lunch.

Drink champagne as often as you can. ;-)

Have fun.
