Ich mochte tanzen..ich mochte tanzen...well if you're looking for the traditional oomph German beer festival -the huge beer hall and bright maidens loaded with litre jars sweetly serving you then Munich has no subsitute. The traditional Oktoberfest belongs to Munich -though Cologne also fairs well but its Carnival is in February. Brelin's zanny shoulder swigin' fesy is the Love Parade which is a mid-summer thing -dunno if its going ahead this year due to financial irregularitira.. but there's always a party going on around Prenzlauer Berg if not where you can chill to the latest Deutsche Hitmix.

I just got back from my first Contiki tour we were in Munich and I must say, that is where the party is! I know that for Oktoberfest it is INSANE. They do a couple of Oktoberfest Tours 6 or 7 days in Munich Oktoberfest Tour The party was great even in July, so I imagine it is only better in Oktober! The tour also includes the Bavarian Parade, a visit to Dachau, accomadations and most meals! Definately check out Prague if at all possible, the place is BEAUTIFUL, and I don't know that it is too far from Munich.
