hello!

does anyone know how to buy tickets for gigs in europe in advance? my friends and i are travelling about and want to go see gigs in ljubljana and padova (outside venice) but after many hours trawling the internet i can find no way of pre-booking tickets! does anyone know of any websites or travel agencies that could help? i tried goin in to sta travel but they said to try here!

try footy mags lots of agencies place ads for internationals. otherwise the fan sites of the band gigging. OK i'm preaching to the converted.

yep, i've been on the websites for both bands and they have ticket info for their other gigs in europe but sadly not for the ones i want to go to! the advert thing is a good idea and i will keep a look-out but those things are ususally for package deals to see gigs in paris and rome n stuff- big cities, dunno how much demand there is for british people wanting to see gigs in ljubljana!

any other suggestions?

the nearest ive been is hungary. on the two times ive visited i just turned up at gigs, usually held throught summer in country villages and free. they make for a pleasant summer afternoons drink with domestic bands playing. also went to the pepsi festival in Budapest twice. saw oasis in 2000. again just turned up -think i got a ticket from an agency in town for oasis.

thanks, we could do that, just it was the pixies we wanted to see in ljubljana and, the pixies being the pixies, we thought it might sell out. looks like we might just have to chance our arm at the time though!
