Hello All, hope you all well!
I have noticed that whilst browsing through this site, there is no information on the above Island, Why?? I have been to Madeira on two occa sions and fully recommend it. If you need any info on Madeira please let me know. Alternatively , I can give any advice on the following cities; Barcalona, Edinburgh, Dublin, Glasgow. I am also going to Venice in November this year, any tips! Thank you fellow Travellers! |

Hi, I'm travelling to Madeira with 2 friends next July and just bought the Rough Guide. There it mentions ther is a possibility of staying in private rooms at people houses (quartos, dormidas). As I have travelled this way through the Azores and that was a great experience, I'd like to know if this is a common thing now in Madeira. Have you any information about it ? Thanks, Rita

Hello Kittiesmurf,
Sorry for the delay in replying to you and I hope that I am not late in my response! Unfortunately, I do not have any specific personal recommendations to hand, accomodation is not an issue for me as I always stay with my partners family. However, I can give you the following websites: www.holidaysexposed.com This site has reviews done by travellers on all types of accommodation. Follow the links and you will notice that there is two recommended "Pensions" on the Island. www.madeira.web.info The above site will give you information on virtually EVERYTHING you need to know before you visit the Island. I can also recommend a day trip to the neighbouring Island of Porto Santo, the beach is absolutely beautiful and the golden sand stretches out for miles and miles. Please let me know if you need any further information. Have a great holiday! Best wishes Kevin ;-) |
