If we fail to find a suitable Greek Island (see my other post) my girlfriend and I would consider Menorca instead.

Would people recommend it for a couple in their early 30's who're looking for a relaxing beach holiday with a handful of places of interest and a decent selection of bars and tavernas (not 'clubbing central' might I add...that's the last thing we want!).

The main point with menorca is it is highly packaged and none of the resorts is of a size to have a lot of bars etc. On the other hand there are superb beaches mainly along the south coast. this contrasts with Greece which has a majority of backpackers island hopping.
