I will be in Belfast, Ireland for about 10 days in mid April. I would like to go to St Andrews for one day and try to play the Old Course. Can someone tell me how to get there? How long does it take? I will have a car. Also, any recomendations for golf in or near the Belfast?
Thanks so much. |

St Andrews is not easy to get to via public transport. You could get a flight to Edinburgh, then catch a train to Kirkcaldy and then get a bus to St Andrews but i think it is unlikley you will be able to do that in a day.
You would really need to book accommodation in St Andrews and stay for at least overnight and also remember that the old course works on a lottery system meaning you cant book a Tee time! you can work out how to get there using public transport using Traveline Scotland and if you decide to book accommodation then try Rooms in Scotland |
