Has anyone yet visited the Pestana Village or Pestana Miramar in Funchal?

How is it situated? (Can you go by foot to Funchal-town?)
What's the breakfast and dinner like?
Is there any animation in the hotel?

I have been to Maderia on three different occasions, but must admit that I have never heard of the above estabilshment.

However, after speaking to my Girlfriend (from Maderia) she informed me that the Hotel is situated near the Lido and around 10/15 mins walk to the City centre.
