We are a party of 3 who need some advice on transportation option from Istanbul late April to travel to either -
Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia or Slovenia, Croatia then onto London to arrive by 17 May Airfares seem expensive, trains/buses pass through a few countries where we would need visas, we are Australian citizens. Any advice would be appreciated |

Hi!
In case you prefer the Baltics, then they are fairly well connected to the rest of Europe with bus traffic - check www.eurolines.com, they should have all the routes shown there. It's not too inexpensive, and can be very exhausting. All the buses that go to Germany from Estonia and vice versa, pass through Latvia and Lithuania. You have to change transport anyway to start from Istanbul and end in Tallinn. It's fairly easy to get to London from Tallinn - Estonian Air (www.estonian-air.ee) flies there quite often, service is very good, and prices quite inexpensive. Australians don't need a visa to enter Estonia, and that, I think, goes for LAT and LIT as well. It's not much but I hope you got some useful tips. quote: |
