I booked two nights at this hotel for later this year based on comments in Rough Guide. Price quoted in guide at 60euro per night for double room incl breakfast. Owners had to cope with my poor French as they do not appear to speak English. When final confirmation came with leaflet in post the roon is 200euro per night!! We do not feel like cancelling but the Rough guide error is going to cost us dearly.

My goodness me! they have hiked the price somewhat. Unless you've got money to burn i would simply cancel the room, if they have your credit card number. you can book reasonably priced accomodation via a number of hotel search engines. Visit google or real web search. or try the Bordeaux tourist office(who may also be interested to know how much this'petit'hotel is attempting to charge.)The RG and other guides are good at giving addresses and phone nos. but their info is often out of date. unless there is a festival on, i often phone up on the train there. Should you feel the need to communicate further with this hotel you can get stuff translated. again check the search engines.
