I think that you shouldn't miss to visit the area where I live, there are a lot of interesting things to see that it is a pity not to visit.
Only 250 Km. south of Rome and nearest airport Naples (50Km) you can admire the ruines of Pompei,Ercolano, devastated by Vesuvius, you can enjoy the wonderful view of Amalfi Coast with its nice fishermen villages curved in the cliffs.
You can also reach Sorrento and the isle of Capri, for exemple from my city (SALERNO) there are daily connections to all these sights.
A visit to Naples is worthy too, and the discovery of the temples of Paestum, one of few examples in the world of ancient Greek.

Hi lil: I always enjoy visiting Naples especially to take the volcanic spa waters, chilling in spas in the city,terme di scraio on the sorrento coast line and in casamicciola on the isola d'ischia- ah! the sweet scent of summer as I wallow in the cure waters.I'm shortly off to ilaly but to Milan and the lakes to sample the waters there.
