My boyfriend and I are thinking of traveling through eastern Europe for 2-3 weeks this summer. I am wondering how easy it is to hire a campervan on arrival at Budapest and what places are recommended to tour through (our plans are in their infancy at the mo')?

Another option would be to fly to dubrovnic and drive to split, croatia. We are already used to driving in croatia as we hired one in trieste and drove as far as Zadar and the surrounds.

So, any tips on hiring camper vans and touring around in eastern europe would be useful....!
