This is my first time in Spain and I was planning to stay in Madrid for some days and travel to the places around Madrid like Toledo. Transport seems organised enough but I think that traveller's feedback is much more reliable then the official websites. Thanks for any advice.

Hello!

Madrid has an excellent public transportation system. But be warned: the many buses which line the streets in the morning often bring with them huge crowds and very, very long lines. I've seen fist fights break out over cutting! Also, entering and leaving the city by train can be a hassle, as (regardless of a eurail pass) a reservation is required. All this means is that your free train ride isn't free anymore, and can actually be expensive.

Hope this helps!

Busses to toledo are fine. They come every 30mins or so.
