Hey all,
am on the 7th month of my euro extravaganza. after 7months of endless travel, even travelling can get a bit mundane.. and i was looking for something different to break up the whole city to city routine. so i picked up a flyer from naples and headed to one of those farm stays in italy. the place was great, really really hospitable family and a real backpackers home away from home. i really recommend going there if you are in need of a little R&R after a long time away from home. there is nothing better than a nice home cooked meal for dinner, your own room with a heap of space, and generally being comfortable again (for a change) after being on the road for so long. added to this, every couple of days antonello takes people out on monuntain hikes (the farm is at the foot of the mountains) and it really is spectacular and good fun. sucking in the mountain air after a long hike is a great change from the polluted cities, and is really well worth it for the change of scenery. apart from all this, the place is cheap. for a twin room its 19 euros per person, u get plenty of space and lots of privacy. sure beats 20 people bunk bed dorms. i really enjoyed my time staying here and i encourage anyone who needs some R&R to go out there.. its about 2hrs from rome. hit up www.italyfarmstay.com. it is well worth it. |
