Hi!
I'm going to be in Italy and was hoping to travel to greece for a week. The travel agent told me about taking a train from Rome to Brindisi and then a ferry to Patras, Greece.
I was wondering how long the trip would take since I would have to return to Rome in a week for my flight back to Canada.
Are reservations a must? I will be travelling end of juin and returning 2-3rd of july.

Thanks for your help and info

From Roma to Greece, the best route is via Bari, not Brindisi. The schedule and fares are on www.superfast.com. It is basically an overnight journey. If you're heading for Athena, take the ferry to Patra then a bus or train, but if time is very limited, just go to Igoumenitsa and Kerkira ("Corfu").
