anyone have info re: Intercontinental Hotel in San Juan? close to beach? nice? food? activities? honeymoon place? when were you there? I see mixed reviews. Thanks. LH

I just went to San Juan in December and I do not recall an Intercontinental Hotel. Is it in Old San Juan? Most of the hotels in Old San Juan were nice. I stayed at the Wyndham Condado on Condado Island, and it was fabulous. You will love San Juan. It is so beautiful and romantic. Everyone is so nice. Go to Tantra if you get a chance. It is a restaurant that i fell in love with, even if just for a cocktail. The place is really cool. It is just as it sounds, tantric. If you like to drink, the Bacardi distillery is a short (and very pituresque) taxi ride from San Juan, and it is really interesting. Plus you get two free drinks apiece! There are so many things to do and see, just take your time, and Puerto Rico and it's people will hopefully infect you with its zest and splendour as it did I!
