Hiya, I am traveling to Barbados in a few weeks and wondered if anybody had views on the South Coast beaches,which best etc. Also, how busy St. Lawrence gap gets and DOver beach - im not really looking for a crowded beach holiday. Thankyou, bridget

We stayed on St James beach, which is the quiet side of the island. The beach was gorgeous, it was very quiet, but still not too far to go to gret restaurants or clubs - lots of cabs to take you where you want to go. Plenty of people on the beach, but mostly the over 25 (or 30) set.

I stayed on the west coast earlier this year.
the south is the most developed area of the island still plenty of uncrouded beaches though
