Do i actually need to book a hotel in Cuba in advance as stated on the application form or am i ok just to writea hotel name on the application form and hope for the best as has been the case in other countries i have visited? As i like to have free reign to follow my nose on arrival.
Any help or advice would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

I'm in the same situation here.

From what I've picked up elsewhere, I don't think it matters too much. You will also be asked to write a hotel down on a form you're given when entering the country, and again it sounds like it doesn't matter what you put on it (probably best to write the same hotel as before).

I also understand that it's best to write the name of a state hotel, even if you plan to stay at a casa particular.
