hi, you should take the windward ferry which connects isla margharita, trinidad up to st.lucia and back. reasonable fare, cabin would be 10$ a day, but you could bring your own hammock.
my most loved island there is les saintes, terre des haute, which is next to guadeloupe.
you´ll find most british people on grenada.

i went to punta cana, d.r. last summer. it was great. be sure to get the all inclusive plan and pack up on the alieve.
