My wife and I just returned from 10 days in Santo Domingo where we visited our daughter who is spending a semester abroad in the Dominican Republic. We would like to recommend that you check out a new hotel, Hostel Bella Epoca,in the Gazque area. It is a quiet oasis, reasonably priced, clean, and run by a very agreeable family. The Hostel is popular with Peace Corps people and NGO individuals. We paid 700 pesos per night for the room but we were probably undercharged; a full breakfast is 200 pesos. Hi. I believe my friends stayed here last spring break. It's a nice white one-story place with a little garden right? The breakfast is not included in the room charge then? I thought it was a bed and breakfast type place where the breakfast was included. Do they have lunch and dinner services too?

We have a group of 8 students who will be going to Santo Domingo for a medical service trip and we're looking for relatively cheap places to stay. Do you know if the rooms are only for 2 people each? or do they have suites?
